The China-India military standoff in the western section of their Himalayan border is spilling over onto their trade relations. India recently banned 59 Chinese mobile apps and has also taken measures to restrict Chinese investment in the country, sparking speculations of an imminent trade war between two Asian giants. Indian policy analyst Mohan Guruswamy rejects the possibility of a trade war, saying that New Delhi's response is being guided by domestic public opinion.
