During the second quarter of 2020, there was a 14 percent drop worldwide in working hours, according to a recent report by the International Labor Organization (ILO) that studied the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the global workforce.
So how can the international community come together to stimulate the economy in this new environment, and which workers need the most support? From July 7 to 9, government representatives, employers and workers are participating in the ILO Global Summit on COVID-19 and the World of Work to discuss solutions.
