Thousands of defiant protesters took to the streets in Serbia after the president brought back the country's COVID-19 lockdown. Police fired tear gas to disperse crowds gathered in front of parliament in the capital Belgrade. Some protesters managed to force their way in, but were pushed back by riot police. The president reimposed a lockdown after the Balkan country reported its highest single-day death toll on Tuesday.
