The Beijing Royal Fighters achieved a tough win over the Guangzhou Loong Lions 106-102 on Thursday night. Beijing established double-digit lead with a 28-16 run in the third quarter but Guangzhou's desperate counter-strike in the last quarter almost wiped the score difference. In the end, Kyle Fogg made the game-winning jumper for Beijing and got his 29th point in the game.
In the last game on Thursday, the Zhejiang Lions beat the Shandong Heroes 100-84 in Qingdao. Zhejiang's Chinese pair Sun Minghui and Hu Jinqiu together had 41 points, 14 rebounds, nine assists, five steals and three blocks.
The Fujian Sturgeons smashed the Tianjin Pioneers 129-88 in their first game in the second stage of the CBA season restart on Thursday. Fujian's former NBA guard Ty Lawson went 8-10 to drop 26 points, seven rebounds and eight assists while his teammate Wang Zhelin scored 21 points, had 14 rebounds and two blocks. Tianjin's He Siyu contributed 26 points, the team's highest off the bench.
The Zhejiang Golden Bulls also claimed a big win over the Sichuan Blue Whales 107-74. Wu Qian put down court-high 26 points, five rebounds and seven assists. Another four of his teammates all reached double-digit points. Sichuan only scored over 20 points in the third quarter which partly explained the painful loss.
