Deer frolic in the grasslands of NW China

Three deer were captured on camera frolicking and running on the grassland in Shawan County, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

The deer belongs to a species named Tianshan wapti, native to the Tianshan mountains range in Xinjiang.

The species is under second-class state protection. Currently, there are less than 10,000 of them in China.
