29 new coronavirus cases reported in Hong Kong, 33 others awaiting confirmation
Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) reported 29 new coronavirus cases on Saturday, including 17 local transmitted cases, bringing the total number of infections in the city to 1,432.
33 other people have tested preliminary positive and are awaiting confirmation, said local health authorities. A Hong Kong immigration officer stationed at the Shenzhen border checkpoint was among them.
Among the newly-confirmed cases, 12 of them are from the Philippines, Germany, Turkey and the United States.
The death toll currently stands at seven in the city.
