First, we should give applause for Joseph Young – he deserved it after putting down season-high 74 points for the Nanjing Monkey Kings in the game against the Shandong Heroes on Monday. Young scored all of Nanjing's 21 points in the first quarter, 45 of the 49 points in Q2. He went 27-50 on the court, buried six shots from downtown, stood 15 times on the free throw line, and even delivered eight steals. However, his second-highest scoring teammate was Li Bairun, who only got 10 points. Nanjing only had eight players for rotation in this game. This team were hurt too much by injuries. Again, despite the 125-110 loss, Young deserved respect for his performance.

Both the Xinjiang Flying Tigers and the Jiangsu Dragons achieved big wins on Monday night. Xinjiang crashed the Shenzhen Aviators 122-86. Zhou Qi scored 30 points, 15 rebounds, and four assists. Jiangsu walked over the Qingdao Eagles 114-85. Antonio Blakney had court-high 37 points.

The Liaoning Flying Leopards walked over the Tianjian Pioneers 133-78 with 10+lead in three of the four quarters. O.J. Mayo had team-high 31 points for Liaoning. Guo Ailun started off the bench and went 2-4 to get 11 points, but he managed to deliver nine assists.

The Beijing Ducks claimed a comfortable win over the Shanxi Loongs 111-91, extending their winning streak to six. Moreover, this was the first time in 193 days for the team to score over 100 points. Jeremy Lin dropped 29 points, seven rebounds and six assists in only 21 minutes. Since Lin joined Beijing, his run-in with the team did not go so well because of injuries, but he had been doing better during the restart. If Beijing want to make a breakthrough in the playoffs, they will need Lin to keep up with such performance on the court.
