Florida set a new state daily record of 15,299 coronavirus cases on Sunday. The state would rank fourth in the world for new cases if it were a country, according to a Reuters analysis. As Florida has emerged as the new epicenter of COVID-19 in the United States, the Disney World amusement park reopened in Orlando after four months of closure. Safety measures including social distancing, mask-wearing and widespread use of sanitizer were taken by Disney to ensure the safe operation at a highly dangerous time. Josh D'Amaro, chairman of Disney's Parks, Experiences and Products segment, noted that guests are booking reservations to visit Disney's parks and resorts as far out as 2021.
