The international community is calling for restraint in Mali amid a wave of anti-government protests that have turned violent. The United Nations, European Union, African Union and the Economic Community of West African States slammed the use of lethal force by security forces and urged dialogue. Protesters have been calling for President Ibrahim Keita to step down. Eleven people have died with over a hundred injured since Friday. Several protest leaders have also been arrested.
