A slender-billed vulture was found by a villager at Jinggu Dai and Yi Autonomous County of southwest China's Yunnan Province. It's the first time the bird has been spotted in Yunnan. The local forest police took the weakened bird back to the station and fed it with chicken. After three days of recovery, the vulture gradually regained back its strength.

The slender-billed vulture is an ancient vulture species, which is mainly distributed in the sub-Himalayan regions and Southeast Asia.
