China will keep deepening its reform, expand its opening-up and provide a better business environment for the investment and development of Chinese and foreign enterprises, Chinese President Xi Jinping said Wednesday in a reply letter to global CEOs.

Recently, 18 CEOs from the commission of the Global CEO Council wrote to President Xi, appreciating China's effective measures to rapidly bring the epidemic under control and take the lead in resuming work and production.

Noting that China is coordinating epidemic control with economic and social development to move towards an all-round well-off society and win the fight against poverty, Xi in his letter said the fundamentals of China's long-term sound economic growth have not changed and will not change.

He told the multinational companies' CEOs that it is a right choice for their companies to be rooted in China.

Xi stressed that mankind is a community with a shared future and win-win cooperation is the prevailing trend in a world with the convergence of interests among countries.

China will unswervingly adhere to the path of peaceful development, make economic globalization more open, inclusive, balanced and beneficial for all and advance an open world economy, he added.

The Chinese president hoped these global CEOs will uphold the principles of win-win cooperation and common development, strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Chinese enterprises and make contributions to the global economic recovery.

In their letter, the global CEOs said that President Xi's judgement of "fostering new opportunities amid challenges and making new advances amid changes" and decision to support economic globalization, reaffirmed their confidence to grow business in China.

They also made suggestions on China's economic development and Sino-foreign cooperation in the post-pandemic era.

Founded in 2013, the Global CEO Council is composed of 39 leading and representative multinational enterprises in the world.
