Bridger Walker, a six-year-old American boy, is being hailed as a hero for protecting his little sister from a dog attack that ended with him getting 90 stitches on his face.

Bridger's aunt shared details of the attack on the internet. She wrote that Bridger saw the dog approach his sister and deliberately stood in front of her. The dog attacked Bridger instead, biting the side of the boy's face and head

When being asked why he stepped in front of the dog, the boy said that "if someone was going to die, I thought it should be me."

"Captain America" actor Chris Evans was one of many celebrities moved by Bridger's actions. He sent the boy a video message, praising him for being a hero and offering to reward him with an authentic Captain America shield.
