After the rain, peat moss grows in the marshes of Dajiu Lake in Shennongjia in central China's Hubei Province. Peat moss is pretty small. Its leaves are only 1.6 millimeter long and less than 1 millimeter wide. However, it can absorb a large amount of water. When completely soaked, it is heavier than stone, yet lighter than cotton after drying.
