The first biological corridor for primates in China was established in Guangxi's Chongzuo White-headed Langur National Nature Reserve.

The corridor will allow white-headed langurs to move freely between their habitats, which were separated by a national highway.

The white-headed langur is a critically endangered species and is native to Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Their population here is around 1,000.

Construction of the corridor started in 2019 and cost 1.9 million yuan. It will be completed by the end of August with the final step of planting vegetation on the corridor.
