Coach Giovanni Van Bronckhorst was the first person to turn up, after undergoing disinfection and checks, with his team and staff following.

Forward Eran Zahavi said that, "I think everything looks very organized and the people really think about what they're doing, as they've tried to do the best for us to be safe and to play the season. I just appreciate it and to do our job. "

Shandong Luneng were the next to touch down in Dalian. Shanghai Shenhua and Henan Jianye showed up on the same day.

In the other host city of Suzhou, Hebei arrived in the evening and earlier confirmed that naturalized Chinese player Ricardo Goulart completed a loan move from champions Guangzhou Evergrande, together with the arrival of Sierra Leones striker Buya Turay and three domestic players, Ding Haifeng, Chi Wenyi and Chen Xiao.

When asked about the newcomers, midfielder Zhang Chengdong said, "Good players are joining our team after being evaluated by our coaches and officials."

He added that, "I think they can help and support us, because right now, we only have one foreign player on the squad. Since we've already been training for a while, and the season will begin in a few days, I hope these players can be worked in as soon as possible, especially with some of the foreigners still under quarantine.
