China has lashed out at U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's remarks on the Communist Party of China (CPC), rebuking him for telling repeated lies.
 Wang Wenbin, spokesman for China's Foreign Ministry, called Pompeo's words "groundless" after the American senior official said the CPC "failed" to tell the truth about the COVID-19 virus.
