CBA highlights on July 23: Guangdong achieve epic 28 straight wins

The Guangdong Southern Tigers walked over the Nanjing Monkey Kings 131-106, extending their winning streak to 28. However, Nanjing's Joseph Young again became the shiniest star on the court as he dropped 48 points, five rebounds, seven assists and seven steals. This was his sixth 45+point game in a row. Nanjing have been haunted by injuries since season restart or they definitely would secure a spot in the playoffs.

The Xinjiang Flying Tigers achieved an easy win over the Guangzhou Loong Lions; 103-87. Zhou Qi had court-high 31 points, 15 rebounds. His teammate Fan Ziming also got a double-double of 12 points, 13 rebounds. Guangzhou played and lost their last game this season, finishing it with a 10-34 record that put the team 18th of all 20 teams.

The Jilin Northeast Tigers suffered a big loss against the Zhejiang Lions 119-96 on Thursday, losing their last drop of hope to make the top 8. Jilin lost by 17, 12, and 9 points in Q 1, Q3, and Q4, respectively. They were only able to narrow the score difference down by a bit in Q2. Zhejiang Saw three of their players, Li Jinglong, Hu Jinqiu and Zhao Yanhao, score 20+points. Sun Minghui put down 10 points, five rebounds and 14 assists for Zhejiang.
