01:06

From March 1946 to March 1948, the Kuomintang (KMT) and Communist Party of China (CPC) forces had four major battles in Siping City in northeast China's Jilin Province. In the end, the CPC wiped out more than 68,000 KMT troops at the cost of over 40,000 casualties and took control of the city. To honor history, Siping War Memorial was established in 1958.
