China provides medical supplies to Brazilian indigenous communities

China and Brazil have maintained good cooperation in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Chinese government provided two batches of aid during the outbreak that continues to grow in Brazil, especially for indigenous people in the country, according to the Chinese Ambassador to Brazil Yang Wanming.

The first aid supplies have been used in the frontline of the fight against the disease. The second batch that already arrived in the country is destined to help indigenous communities in the Amazon in this difficult period. The medical supplies are being  receied  and distribuedy, Yang added.

Brazil on Thursday said it registered 59,961 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, its second-highest single-day increase. The latest new cases took the country's total caseload to 2,287,475 and death toll to 84,082, the country's health ministry said.
