Northwest China's Shaanxi Province is home to a large number of wild crested ibises, a species that used to be on the brink of extinction. In 1981, only seven wild crested ibises were found in Yangxian County, northwest China's Shaanxi Province. Now, the population of the crested ibis in Shaanxi has grown to 4,100 due to local conservation efforts.
On June 20, Yangxian welcomed another new born crested ibis. Under the care of its parents Hong Hong and Huo Huo, the chick has been growing fast. Join CGTN to witness the life of this wild crested ibis family.
