A camel walked for seven days across vast mountains and deserts to reach its old home in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The story has touched many after videos circulated on social media in China.

From a biological point of view, the journey might be impossible for human beings, but it's entirely achievable by the animal known for its endurance.

Camels can go without food and water for days in the desert, but once it finds water, it can drink up to 100 liters at once.

The animal is also believed to have great memories, allowing the homesick camel in Inner Mongolia to recall the route to its former home. Reports also say that the animal is intelligent, emotional, and can form close bonds with human beings.
