The 10th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) will be held from August 22 to 29, the organizer said on Tuesday.
Originally set for April 19-26, it was delayed due to the coronavirus epidemic.
The festival traditionally features the screening of noteworthy films from around the world, the awarding ceremony of the Tiantan Award and a series of other cultural programs.
Out of safety reasons, the ongoing 23rd Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) has canceled the opening ceremony, red carpet and awarding ceremonies. It is the first large-scale cinematic event held in-person in China since the coronavirus shut down the industry.
The BJIFF organizer has not disclosed in what form the festival will be held.
