Live: China makes all-out effort to battle record-setting floods

According to the Ministry of Emergency Management, the rain-triggered floods in China have affected some 54.8 million people in 27 provincial-level regions as of Tuesday. Heavy machinery has been deployed to build temporary embankments to prevent possible floodwaters from breaking sluice gates.
