Xi Jinping hears suggestions from non-CPC groups

The Communist Party of China (CPC) held a forum to discuss ways to boost the economy. 

The CPC Central Committee met with the representatives of non-CPC parties as well as the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce. 

Attendees presented proposals for the economy, including ways to achieve high-quality development.

Addressing the meeting, General Secretary Xi Jinping of the CPC Central Committee called for more reforms to handle developmental challenges among other issues. He said no country can stand in the way of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. 

Xi said more should be done this year to make up for the losses incurred because of the pandemic. He called for more supply-side reforms, boosting domestic demand and increasing industrial competitiveness.
