Bank sector in New Zealand faces conundrum as society becomes cashless

The coronavirus pandemic has changed many things in our lives and for New Zealand one of the biggest changes has been in the banking sector. Around 6 percent of the nation's banks were permanently closed during a two-month lockdown as more people began to manage their financial affairs online. Experts say the pandemic has accelerated the move toward a cashless society.
