Head of national security office in HK holds first meeting with Lam

First meeting is held between national security office of Chinese central government in HKSAR and the national security committee of HKSAR, July 31, 2020. /Xinhua

Zheng Yanxiong, director of the newly established Office for Safeguarding National Security of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), on Friday afternoon held the first meeting in Hong Kong with Carrie Lam, chairwoman of the Committee for Safeguarding National Security of the HKSAR.

Luo Huining, deputy director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, who also serves as director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR, also attended the meeting.
