CBA highlights on August 1: Jilin miss comeback win for one triple

The Beijing Royal Fighters edged over the Jilin Northeast Tigers 108-106 after 48 minutes of competition. Despite Beijing's 10-point lead in the last four minutes, Jilin almost reversed the situation as Dai Huaibo buried three shots from downtown in 100 seconds. Unfortunately, Dai missed his game-winning jumper. Kyle Fogg dropped court-high 39 points and delivered eight assists for Beijing. Beijing will challenge the Xinjiang Flying Tigers on August 3 in the quarterfinals.

The Zhejiang Golden Bulls defeated the Shanxi Loongs 91-82 in the CBA playoff game on Saturday. Zhejiang's 21-year-old guard Cheng Shuaipeng missed one rebound to get the first triple-double (23 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists) of his career. His teammates Wu Qian annd Liu Zeyi got 18 and 23 points respectively. Zhejiang will meet the Liaoning Flying Leopards on August 3.
