The first batch of 36 extra-large pure electric buses was put into the service of public transportation in Guangzhou City, south China's Guangdong Province, on Thursday. Compared to the old gas-powered buses, the new models are more environment-friendly and have adopted more humanized designs. With the operation of the new buses, the old models using gas fuel that had been in operation for 10 years are being gradually phased out.
