The Karola Glacier: A glacier on the roadside
CGTN

Driving a car out from Yamdrok Lake, a giant tongue of ice stretches itself to the ground only about 300 meters from the highway. Many tourists take a short stop to enjoy the magnificent view of Karola Glacier.

The Karola Glacier lies between Ngarzhag County of Shannan and Gyantse County of Shigatse in Tibet. Due to climate change, the glacier is shrinking every year.
