The controversy over TikTok comes after the UK bowed to U.S. pressure and ordered telecommunications networks to remove Huawei technology. Chinese Ambassador to the United Kingdom Liu Xiaoming said the issue has been politicized and the UK will lose out. He had written an article after the ban, saying rejecting Huawei means rejecting opportunities.
