Firefighters evacuated a centenarian and some others who were stranded at their homes due to rain-triggered floods brought by Typhoon Hagupit in Wenzhou City. A total of ten firefighters rushed to Yongzhong Street for rescue work after an alert was issued. Because most houses were inundated, firefighters had to grope their way forward in the waist-deep water and go from house to house to see if people were trapped.

Firefighters put on a life jacket on the centenarian and was piggybacked to safety. After an hour of hard work, firefighters managed to successfully evacuate the centenarian and others to a safe place.
