Melbourne has started its first full-day of a tough lockdown. It comes as Victoria state, now Australia's coronavirus hot spot, posted 471 new COVID-19 infections and eight deaths. The state premier announced cuts in meat production, but he urged shoppers not to stockpile, as they periodically did in earlier lockdowns.
