China launched its first standard container-sized mobile nucleic acid testing lab at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on August 7. With the container lab operational, people can receive nucleic acid test results right at the airport.

This will save about two hours of waiting time, compared with sending test samples back to laboratories in the city area.

The sampling and testing capacity of the mobile lab is around 1,000 people per day, which meets the daily testing needs of Pudong Airport. In the future, the testing capacity will be increased to around 1,500 people per day.
