Footage of a giant panda was captured by infrared cameras for the first time on Thursday at the Giant Panda National Park in Maoxian County of the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, of southwest China's Sichuan Province. Two days later, another giant panda appeared in front of the cameras. Park staff said both pandas appeared to be healthy.

A total of 120 infrared cameras have been installed since the park was built in 2018. They've captured footage of more than 10 species of animals, including the black bear, the ocelot and the golden pheasant.
