Hong Kong reports 69 new COVID-19 cases

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on Monday reported 69 new cases of COVID-19, of which 67 are locally transmitted and two from overseas.

Among the 67 local infections, 45 are linked to previously confirmed cases, while the sources of the rest 22 remained unknown, health officials said in a press briefing.

There are still 1,052 patients in hospitals, with nearly 100 in serious condition, authorities said. More than 2,900 patients have been discharged.

The Asian financial hub has registered over 4,100 cases and 55 deaths since January.
