Brazil's COVID-19 death toll reaches 101,752

Brazil registered 703 new deaths from COVID-19 on Sunday, raising its official death toll to 101,752, authorities said on Monday.

The Ministry of Health said 22,048 new coronavirus infections were detected, taking the tally to 3,057,470.

Brazil has the world's second largest COVID-19 caseload, behind the United States.

The hardest-hit state is Sao Paulo, which has reported 25,151 deaths and 628,415 cases.
