A thick layer of ash covered several villages in Indonesia after the eruption of Mount Sinabung. Belching a massive column of ash and smoke 5,000 meters into the air, the eruption left some communities in complete darkness. There were no reports of casualties from the blast. Authorities have warned of possible lava flow and more eruptions.
