Mexico reported 5,558 new cases in the past 24 hours, taking the national count to 485,836. Meanwhile, 705 additional deaths were reported, making the death toll to 53,003.

Israel's total number of confirmed cases has reached 84,722, with 1,720 new cases, and the death toll rose to 613, with 13 more deaths. The number of recovered cases reached 58,998, with 1,465 recoveries, while the number of active cases rose to 25,108.

France's coronavirus infections surpassed 200,000 on Monday with 4,854 new cases confirmed over the last three days, and death toll rose to 30,340. The ministry urged people to use the contact-tracing app "StopCOVID," respect all barrier gestures, get tested rapidly even with mild symptoms and put themselves into quarantine if positive.

Cuba reported 93 new cases on Monday, the highest single-day count since the start of the pandemic on the island in March, raising the total to 3,046 with 88 deaths. The capital Havana imposed new lockdown restrictions including suspended public transportation and canceled onsite dining at restaurants.

Libya recorded 388 new cases with five new deaths on Tuesday, bringing the total confirmed cases in the country to 5,929, including 125 deaths. The UN-backed government a few days ago made it mandatory to wear face masks in public, noting that violators will be fined.
