It's time to view a nighttime spectacle as the Perseid meteor shower is expected to streak across the sky from August 12 to 14. Under a clear, dark sky far from city lights, we expect meteor rates as high as 110 per hour on peak night.
The Perseid meteor shower is normally active from mid-July to late August every year.
