Baishuitai: Natural terraces with white color
CGTN

Baishuitai, or White Water Terraces, are natural terraces with white mineral deposits.

The terraces are located in Baidi Village in Shangri-La County, southwest China's Yunnan Province.

The limestone of the terraces is formed when carbonate minerals precipitate out of water.

As the water flows ceaselessly, the deposit layer grows until it covers the ground and the leaves.

Such marvels of nature perhaps are only a casual handiwork of the Creator.
