How long are black-winged stilts' legs?
By Chen Chen
Asia;

The bird is called a "stilt" for a reason: its long pink legs resemble wooden stilts. As a result of adaptation, they allow the wading bird to forage in deeper water.

In Beijing's Guanting Reservoir, a young stilt born this year is learning to fly and prey on its own.

The bird can sleep standing on just one foot and swab feet from time to time, with its beak tugged in feathers.
