Hong Kong reports 44 new COVID-19 cases

China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) on Monday reported 44 new COVID-19 cases, of which 31 were domestically transmitted and the rest were from overseas.  

Since January, the Asian financial hub has registered over 4,500 infections and 69 deaths.

The city will start providing free coronavirus testing for residents from August 31.
