Wuhan Zall beat Chongqing Lifan in Chinese Super League

Wuhan Zall defeated Chongqing Lifan 2-0 in the fifth round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) in Suzhou, east China's Jiangsu Province on Monday.

Both teams started the game slow until Wuhan's Hu Jinghang opened the scoring with a low shot after an assist from Brazilian Leo Carrilho Baptistao in the 32nd minute.

In the second half, Wuhan showed greater efficiency in their attacks. Baptistao got an inverted triangle pass from Eddy Gnahore and scored a second goal for Wuhan in the 65th minute.

"Young player Hu Jinghang played very well today. Gnahore has also gradually fitted into the team. I dedicated this victory to all Wuhan fans," said Jose Gonzalez, head coach of Wuhan Zall, in the press conference after the game.

By beating Chongqing Lifan, Wuhan Zall return to third in Group B with nine points.

In the game following Wuhan Zall's victory, Hebei CFFC defeated Tianjin Teda 2-0.

At 35th minute, Ricardo Goulart's header helped Hebei CFFC to take the lead. Marcao's penalty goal later doubled the lead for the team to secure the victory.
