A heavy rainstorm triggered a mudflow that affected 11 villages, trapping 48 people. The mudflow caused the upper reaches of a river to swell and form a pool measuring 800 meters in length, 300 meters in width and 10 meters in depth. The local government dispatched a rescue team to evacuate over 1,300 villagers. The water level began to recede after the mud burst the pool. All the remaining 48 trapped people were found. They were staying at a rooftop waiting for rescue as the water level began to recede.
