It's rainy season in the Nujiang River in Gongshan County of southwest China's Yunnan Province.

The Nujiang River is an important river in China flowing from north to south. Most sections of the Nujiang River rush in deep-built canyons, with large drops, rapid currents, which makes the river water rush rapidly and the waves high, forming a spectacular sight.

Originating in the southern slope of the Tanggula Mountain Range in Tibet Autonomous Region, it flows across the Tibet Autonomous Region and Yunnan Province with a total length of 2,816 kilometers and an area of 324,000 square kilometers until it finally empties into the Andaman Sea of Indian Ocean.

Affected by the southwestern monsoon winds from the Indian Ocean, the Grand Gorge of the Nujiang River forms a special climate: a mountain could have four seasons at the same time and the weather could be different within five kilometers. The altitudes of all the mountains along the two banks of Nujiang River are over 3,000 meters. Therefore it is a common phenomenon to have different types of trees at different altitudes of these mountains in summer.
