The fishing close season in the South China Sea, which lasts three and a half months, has ended. On the morning of August 16, a fishing festival was staged in Sanya to celebrate the start of the new season.

At noon, in the Yazhou central fishing port, more than 300 fishing boats started their engines and whistled in unison. Led by the "Head Boat in the South China Sea" Qiongdanyu No 19290, the vessels sailed away with hopes of returning with full nets.
