CGTN's second Digital Safari live broadcast aired on August 18. The wildebeest herds courageously courted danger as they tried their best to evade the crocodiles waiting in the water and the lions on the other side. Catapulted by instinct and clouded by inexperience, a lone wildebeest calf, rolled the dice and tried in vain to cross the river.
Further south, in Djuma, fueled by the desperate cries of hunger from their pups, a wild dog pack coordinated attacking a herd of impala and finally succeeded in making a kill. However, their victorious meal was interrupted by a young, naïve hyena, who felt it deserved some of the pack's hard-earned cuisine.
Elephants quenching their thirst seemed to be the order of the day in Southern Africa, as in both Djuma and Pridelands herds were enjoying the available refreshments.
