Hong Kong reports 26 new COVID-19 cases
China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) reported 26 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, of which 23 were domestic transmissions and three were from overseas.
Two more people died from COVID-19, health authorities said, raising the city's death toll to 72.
HKSAR saw a surge in domestically transmitted COVID-19 cases in July, prompting the local government to impose social distancing measures, including restrictions on dine-in services and requirements to wear a face mask in public areas.
Since January, the Asian financial hub has registered over 4,580 coronavirus infections.
