The new Hengqin Port linking Macao Special Administrative Region and Zhuhai City in south China's Guangdong Province opened to travelers at 15:00 on Tuesday. All passenger clearance services and Macao-bound vehicle clearance services, which operated out of Macao's Lotus Flower Bridge Checkpoint, will be relocated to the new Hengqin Port. The port has been equipped to handle thousands of people and to facilitate a faster crossing between the special administrative region and the city.
