HK lifts ban on residents from Hubei and those visiting within 14 days

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government lifted restrictions on Hubei residents and non-Hong Kong residents who had visited Hubei province within 14 days of their arrival in Hong Kong as the outbreak in Hubei province has been under steady control, local authorities said on Friday.

The ban was implied from January 27 for residents from Hubei Province and people who have been to Hubei within 14 days of their arrival in Hong Kong.

All residents of Hubei Province and those who have visited Hubei Province will be subject to mandatory quarantine requirements, in line with other arrivals from the mainland, the government added.
